Builds the digital marketing layer for established service businesses.
I'm the founder of Surgent Marketing — a boutique marketing consultancy for service businesses doing $1M+ in annual revenue. We build custom websites, deploy AI receptionists that never miss a call, run Google and Meta ad campaigns, and run the local SEO foundation so the right buyers find, call, and book.
Surgent operates as a single accountable team — no junior account managers, no call centers, no handoffs between specialists who don't know your business. The same people who plan the work do the work, and they answer when you call.
The thing that separates Surgent structurally from the big agencies isn't the work — it's the ownership model. Every account we provision lives under the client's name from day one. Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Google Business Profile, the website, every domain, every login. If you leave Surgent, you leave with every account we built. The opposite of how Scorpion, Hibu, and most legacy agencies operate.
Expertise
What I actually do.
Hands-on work across the four pillars of digital marketing for service businesses. Not high-level strategy decks — the actual building, configuring, testing, and tuning.
Website design + development
Hand-coded custom sites for service businesses. 15+ shipped across roofing, HVAC, plumbing, med spa, e-commerce. Speciality: SEO + GEO schema engineering baked into every page for AI search citation.
AI receptionist deployment
Built and tuned AI phone agents for service businesses handling 200+ inbound calls per month per client. Trained on industry-specific service categories, qualifying flows, and after-hours dispatch logic.
Google + Meta ad management
Pay-per-click campaigns across Google Search, Performance Max, Local Services Ads, and Meta. Specialty: home-services verticals (roofing, HVAC, plumbing, remodelers) and DTC e-commerce launches.
Local SEO
Google Business Profile optimization, listings on the 15 high-trust directories Google credits, and the structured-data engineering that gets businesses cited inside ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
How I operate
The rules I won't break.
You own everything from day one
Every account I provision for a client — Google Ads, Meta, Google Business Profile, the website, every domain, every login — is in the client's name. Always. I don't take on engagements that violate this rule.
Risk weighted to my side, not yours
Surgent's commitment terms (90 days minimum, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice) exist because the burden of proof belongs on the agency, not the client. If the work doesn't earn the relationship, the relationship ends.
Direct operator access, no junior layer
Service business owners deserve direct access to the people running their marketing. No account managers, no call centers, no specialists routing through specialists. The same person who plans the work does the work.
AI is leverage, not magic
I use AI in nearly every layer of Surgent's operation — the receptionist, the ad ops, the content production — because it compresses what used to require fifty people into a small team that ships faster and charges less. But it's a tool, not a story.
